We’re starting to sound like a broken record when talking about how fantastic Maia and Guida look right now. Not only do they spend much more time together, but they have an incredible presence about them that is unmistakable.
Brazilian media came out the other day to do a follow up story on the girls. The cameraman had been here before and looked at Guida and asked if that was Maia. When Scott told him no he couldn’t believe it. He was shocked at how Guida looked and that the level of transformation she has been through was possible.
It’s wonderful that someone who knew nothing of sanctuary just a little over a year ago is now a complete believer in the healing it can bring and what it means to the elephants. Maia and Guida are turning out to be phenomenal ambassadors for the species. Opening eyes one at a time.
