Lady’s Continued Daily Wanderings

Lady’s explorations of the remote areas of Yard 5 have continued, but on more of a daily cycle. Where she once spent a few days at the barn, then a few days away, she is now making full rounds of the space within the span of a single 24-hour period.

This week, we’ve seen her far in the back of Yard 5 in the early mornings; over the next few hours, she heads toward the water trough in the south part of Yard 5, then eventually to the barn for dinner.

While she once would have stayed in the vicinity of the barn for a while, she now heads directly back out toward Yard 5 for the evening. We never seem to know what her once-predictable schedule will be from day-to-day. These treks of hers seem to be making her very bright and soft these days, which is what results from having the opportunity to make one’s own choices.

Lady’s feet improvement must be allowing her to trek further.
Love our Lady so much. She must also be in a good mental place
    that sanctuary provides.

So impressive, and how delightful it must be to see a corresponding change in her mood. A very brave elephant who must also feel much stronger. Witnessing the change in her is humbling, great work all you Sanctuary care givers

WOW! She must feel so much better, body & soul. An amazing job all you Care Givers. It’s a delight watching her development and hearing of her walking so many miles on those feet is a learning experience in itself. So glad she has had the opportunity at ESB

I’m commenting here because the Argentina Elephant Update and how you can help LINK is not working.

Making her own choices, and coming into her own self. Again the healing power of sanctuary. The walking and exercise makes for healthier feet. A win-win for our Lady Bug.
