Lady is a Speed Racer

Each of us has days when we move a little slowly, and others where we have more stamina. Lady is much the same way – only these days, when she has more energy, she is a fast-moving, petite powerhouse. Once she sets her mind that she wants to go somewhere, she’s off in a flash and just keeps going forward. Scott has taken to calling her “Speed Racer,” because of her get-up-and-go. 

Last week, she made her way from the very back of Yard 5 (by what we call the Middle of Nowhere gate), to the trough on the other side of Yard 5, and then walked all the way back to the barn – in almost record time for Lady. Her mobility can change from day to day, so we are thrilled to see her enjoying her surroundings to the fullest extent.

    Sweet Lady; I’m so glad to hear that she is feeling more mobile at the moment. Lady has a sweet spot in my heart, all to herself; just can’t help it. Hugs to all of you, there at ESB… from British Columbia, Canada!

      They are never going to get better. But it may mean that the new anti-inflammatory medicine that she’s on is helping with the pain some. Or she could just be so eager to roam that she’s willing to tough it out. She’s a champ.

    Hoping the new meds and old meds are easing the pain in her feet, I’m happy she feels more able to “speed” and walk further
