Guida is dealing with a bit of colic since yesterday. Our time is limited between caring for her and everyone else, so our posts have been limited and we most likely won’t have time to respond to anything, so although you can ask questions, unlike normally, we probably won’t get to answer them.
She is doing ok, as you can see, Maia is being a very good big sister and keeping an eye on her. Maia did walk away today and spend time with Rana while Guida slept. We started treatment yesterday morning when we noticed Guida posturing. She frequently suffered from bouts of colic at the farm of the circus lawyer, before she came here, but hasn’t had any issues since her arrival.
It did remind us that they had said she’s impossible to sneak medicine into anything. And she checks everything we give her at this point, but she has allowed us to put medicine directly in her mouth and give injections. She is being a very good girl, although you can tell she is a bit uncomfortable and crampy.
We go down several times throughout the night to check on her. If she were more critical, someone would sleep down there with her, but she’s nice and stable at this point. We are keeping her closed in the night yards (the smaller yards we talked about just a few weeks ago) so we can keep a closer eye on her.
All of the girls have been great, as have the staff, that go on hour and a half runs to get whatever is needed to keep Miss Guida comfortable. We will try to post something tomorrow, but we can’t make any promises.
Keep Guida in your thoughts and feel free to send her lots of love.
For those who may wonder, the dark spots on her body are the oil from their natural bug spray.

March 20, 2019 at 1:35 pmDesejo melhoras para Guida. Sou brasileiro de São Paulo e acompanho toda movimentação do santuário desde o início. Faço aqui uma oração: (Lucas 5:13 ) “Jesus disse ao leproso , quero se limpo! Imediatamente desapareceu dele a lepra. ” – Pela intercessão de São Francisco de Assis, Santa Clara e São Roque peço a Deus a cura de Guida em o nome de Jesus, amém ! – Força rapaziada, força GUIDA!
