“Happy” That’s one of those words you are cautioned not to use in regards to animals, (especially wild animals) because it can be seen as anthropomorphic. We get the theory of it, people do put their own emotions on animals. But to think animals can’t be happy and that happy is an emotion that belongs solely to humans, seems a little silly.
There are times when you see the girls and happy is the first word that comes to mind. Maia and Guida almost always seem good, sometimes silly, sleepy, many things, but some days happy fits. When you walk up and their eyes are wide and bright, they’re cheeky smiley and they radiate not just a contentment but also joy. It all looks and feels happy. It’s a simple word- but it fits.So today we’re going to say that Maia and Guida are happy.
