Recently we celebrated the joy and silliness there is to be found at sanctuary – something that can be an essential part of healing. Guillermina took this idea to heart. It was before night feed, and up at the house we could hear someone splashing away. The girls generally don’t go swimming at night, but Guille’s squeaks soon gave away who it was. We checked the cameras and indeed it was Guille having her own little party of one in the mud wallow in Yard 1. Pocha was grazing nearby in the neighboring yard, perhaps enjoying watching her daughter let loose and feel free.
This video was taken from the observation camera, so it has no sound. But sound isn’t necessary, as far as we are concerned. Guille’s pure delight shines through with every dive, squish, and splash she makes.
