Guillermina is getting slightly better at walking around trees and bushes, though this video shows that she still has no problem charging forth and over brush at times. Here, she and Pocha meet Scott along the fence line for some face time. You can get a good look at Guille’s high, domed, fuzzy head and her extra wrinkly skin. Her ears fold forward at the top, then backward about halfway down, which – aside from her size – is an easy way to tell her apart from the others. You also get a glimpse of Pocha’s ears, which come to a more solid point at the bottom and drape backwards, almost like curtains. Perhaps knowing that Scott had no food, the two went breezily on their way.

October 3, 2022 at 2:14 pmIt’s just that Guille learned that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line … especially when food is involved! Perhaps that explains some of her pushiness with Pocha, too.

October 3, 2022 at 2:50 pmThey are both really beautiful to look at I think Pocha’s eyes and yes Guille’s head is a perfect dome, a little like her father Tamy maybe. It looked very hot there, and sounds dry and crackly even after the good showers you’ve had, roll in rain clouds !

Thank you for sharing and for everything you do for all your charges at the sanctuary.

October 8, 2022 at 11:57 amJust catching up on emails, and came across this knowing Pocha has passed. Cannot stop the tears. We wanted so much more for this amazing Mama Pocha. The true essence of patience and motherhood with Guille in horrid, unimaginable circumstanes. R.I.P. sweet, precious Pocha. Rest easy knowing your baby you nurtured as a single mother without benefit of a herd is with caring, loving herd mates and caregivers at GSE.
