Sometimes, when you are having a particularly joyful day, you just have to vocalize your delight. That’s what Rana seemed to do here, as Scott and caregivers met the girls with breakfast in-hand. After the two elephants ate, the care team said some quick hellos since the girls, in their excitement, seemed to want to interact. 

Rana was more interested in trumpeting than Mara was in squeaking; even though Mara didn’t make any noise, she headed over to the fence line for a quick greeting. Afterward, they walked over to the nearby dirt pile to dust before going to the mud wallow to make sure they got extra dirty for the afternoon.
