Frolic in the Pond

On a recent afternoon, one of our caregivers-in-training heard some happy sounding trumpets, but couldn’t see where they were coming from. She could see Bambi and Mara, who were quiet and calm. So, she wandered over to an area where she could see the pond in Yard 5 and observed Guillermina splashing around, with her legs sticking straight up in the air. Apparently, she was having her own party. 

Once Guille started getting really silly and loud, Mara, who was close to the water trough, went over to the trough and started throwing water around, getting wet, and being silly on her own. The energy seemed to be one of spunkiness and the fun vibe was spreading from one elephant to another.

    Oh Guillie. ❤️🐘Ur such a fun young girl. I can imagine what a great funu had. A very unusual pose . Hope one day u do the legs in the air again and u get ur picture taken😅🤣😃

    Oh my! What a visual image. Guille splashing around with her feet sticking straight up in the air! If that isn’t the definition of joy, nothing is!

    Wish I’d seen Guille with legs in the air! She seems to be a happy girl just now! Glad Mara joined in!

    Sweetheart Guille is finally getting stronger emotionally to simply be exactly what she needs to be ! Silly and squeaky , legs in the air !? What a sight to witness! While Mara joins her friend for more play ….moments like these … it’s what we love to hear about the healing power of this Sanctuary! Truly grateful.

    Cuánta alegría habrá invadido su ❤️ en ese momento. Cada vez más tranquila al saber que están en un lugar sanador. Habrá una imagen de ese momento? Sería maravilloso. El solo imaginar me emociona .

      No photo of the moment. Sometimes we like to let them just be elephants without interrupting their moments.
