One of the comments people often share is how different the elephants look after being at the sanctuary. Rana embodies that. So much of the change you see on the outside is because of what happens on the inside. Elephants become more confident, more relaxed, and of course, find a joy they didn’t have before they arrived. All of the healing they go through emotionally shows clearly on their face.

These changes are why we do what we do and fight so hard for each individual elephant to have a chance to experience this life. Rana has been here less than a year but started to change as soon as she arrived. She was always lovely, but what she radiates now is a beauty from within.
