Have you ever tried to take a picture when the sun is in your eyes? We humans would probably end up with a photo where the subject is squinting or just has their eyes closed. Some days, the same can be said for elephants.
Scott was trying to take some zoomed-in pictures of Mara and Maia and, in every shot, their eyes ended up closed. No matter what angle or approach he took, Scott couldn’t seem to catch either of the girls with their eyes open. We thought we’d share a few frames so that, if you’re a serial eye-closer, you can take comfort in the fact that you’re not alone. Sometimes it takes more than one try to capture that special, magical moment.
