Elephant Sanctuary Brazil Class of 2021: Rana

As the year winds to a close, we see how the elephants at sanctuary have changed, grown, settled into who they are, and continue to challenge themselves to find the most in life. So, in the grand tradition of the high school yearbook, we’ve christened each elephant with her own “class honor,” for 2021.

 

 

Rana is class president, valedictorian, and homecoming queen rolled into one. She represents a little bit of every elephant, with a young-at-heart spirit. We think that Rana’s ability to seem ageless and her unbelievably smooth skin makes her Elephant Sanctuary Brazil’s “Most Likely to Get Asked For ID Into Her Seventies.”

P.S.: We know we still owe you a live video of Rana from our Giving Tuesday #RoomToRoam fundraiser. Rana has been out in the habitat lately and not near the barn (which is great),  We haven’t forgotten and will send her smiling face to you as soon as we can!
