Here, Guillermina leads some of the other ladies on a sleepy stroll. She takes a nice long moment for her closeup, and you can see just how many wrinkles her skin holds. She’s followed shortly after by Rana and Maia, who are off to see what the youngster is doing. Bambi, Mara, and Pocha stay behind – perhaps seeking some rest from Guille’s boundless energy.

July 19, 2022 at 4:04 pmThe progress and integration of this young elephant is amazing to me and speaks to your care and expertise. I never expected her to be a part of the herd this quickly but I know in my own human community, young energy is always welcome by us older folks so maybe it’s the same here. Anyway, remarkable and so uplifting.

July 20, 2022 at 7:33 amI enjoy any videos of the girls, but especially love these close-ups, where it feels like I could reach out and touch them. Thank you, as always, for sharing these moments with us in word and image.
