Elephant fences are going up in the African habitat!!
We had our first concrete delivery in Africa for the fence line, and it’s a beautiful sight. Kenya will hopefully be our first African lady to grace this habitat. The barn is already built, the fence lines plotted, and now the guys are clearing, digging, and welding.
Three ‘night yards’ will have to be completed before we can get our state permit for Kenya, and then we can move forward from there. Since African elephants still have yet to be placed on the endangered list, their import is easier than Asian elephants.
Additional funds will need to be raised to complete the three yards, but we are up and running. ?
