As we’ve mentioned before, when we put out food for the elephants around mealtime, we like to spread it out – giving them the ability to search for and discover random piles of hay or produce treats at different points of the day, in different places. On this particular morning, Mara and Bambi (in the background) found an ideal spot to enjoy their meals: just under some shade trees.
You can see that the rainy season has brought out the beautiful green grass, trees, and shrubbery that the girls love to eat. When set against the idyllic backdrop of blues and greens, Mara makes for a lovely model.
