Dry season has arrived, but the girls don’t seem to mind. There is still a lot of green growing, but the trails are very dusty. This makes for happy elephants who often make a pit stop to give themselves a good coating.
Rana is doing great. She continues to be patient and respectful of Maia’s needs, while falling into the friend role when Maia so desires. But she still has her independent spirit and goes her way from time to time. Not a day goes by where they aren’t spending some sort of time together. This is all a big step for Rana in learning what it means to be an elephant. ❤️

have suffered at the hands of mean spirited humans. I know elephants are most afraid of humans and honeybees!
