Day 7: Bambi is En Route to the Sanctuary! ❤️

Bambi is en route to her new life!

Her journey from the zoo in Ribeirão Preto (Brazil) to the sanctuary is 790 miles (1,270 kilometers). We will make frequent stops along the way, and we expect Bambi and the team to arrive in 2-3 days.

Bambi’s new life is about to begin, and we are so grateful to everyone who has come together to make this a reality. ❤️

Yay! Now that Bambi is on her way, and we know our good vibes worked, not to mention the mega elephant knowledge of Bambi’s team, I can say that I’m glad the world got to see how captivity can damage these beautiful creatures. An elephant move gets a lot of press, and it is good to keep the awareness on the fact that captivity is not a good environment for elephants.

I am so excited for Bambi to find a new life of freedom and comfort, and to find her comfort in freedom. You guys are an amazing team, and I love what you are doing for these mind blowingly special animals. I read your daily posts to keep up on how all the girls are doing, and it brings me so much joy, I feel love in my heart in these dark times. Thank you for doing what you do! And I can’t wait to see Bambi in a safe, beautiful, natural place where she may finally be her own.

This made me cry! Relief that Bambi is on her way and sadness for what all those decades of captivity have done to this beautiful soul.I hope more and more people have seen this across the world. I pray that one day we will not need sanctuaries…but thankfully we have people like Kat and Scott on this planet who devote their lives to helping these magnificent creatures. Kat and Scott, you have total respect for them and I am in awe of you.
Thank you amazing team a million times over.
    Let’s bring her home!
