We are coming to the end of our 3rd day of acclimating Bambi to her transport container. There is a judicial order to send her to Elephant Sanctuary Brazil and we will hopefully be bringing her home in the middle of next week.
She continues to do very well, even when the gates are played with and partially closed behind her. Maison also continues to enjoy our team’s company, the extra attention and the food. It even rained today for the first time in four months. All in all, a good day.
Please visit her Rescue Page for additional information, photos, videos, and her travel map (it will be updated once they get on the road).

What extra attention and TLC can do!
Both Bambi and Maison look more alert and happy than they were two days ago.
Heartwarming to watch them really enjoying their food and the audience ?

Thank you Scott – love to hear all your commentary while you share your knowledge and this experience with us. Much appreciated. So happy for Bambi, and hoping Maison gets to join the ESB Girls at some point. Cheers

I had family commitments today (the few family we can see in this crazy day and age) and coming home to catch up with Bambi and Maison and Scott and Trish and co. are the best icing on the cake. It’s great to see an elephant preparing to start a new life soon, as we hope the same for Maison one day. Now, where’s Kitten? It’s time to hear what Scott has to say, LOL
ps. Receiving the texts when I was out, with pics of Bambi, made my day as well.
pss. Facebook is back to normal, too. It’s not trying to lock out my non-registered behind, so that’s good, too.

She looks to be loving all the attention & treats. Do you guys have a scale at GSB? I’m guessing she will gain weight from exercising & gaining mussel mass. She looks comfortable in the create. She’s just adorable.
Have a great evening!

Love your vid and commentary, Scott! What an adorable girl, is your Miss Bambi! She seems patient, happy and adjusted to her tiny surroundings, and she has a crew of loving, attentive people who care for her comfort. Carry On! And get home soon! We cannot wait for the “Unveiling”! And what Kitten has to say . . .

I cant believe the improvement already. Bambi is a keeper and so smart. She is doing well considering all he commotion going on around her. She is loving all the hay and fruit. Bless Bambi and all her helpers who are taking such good care of her. You folks ROCK!
