All three ladies started their day by the pond in yard four. Later in the morning, Ramba showed up at the barn. Since she was there, we gave her a bath, did a skin check, and applied her herbal skin spray and bug spray. All of the ingrown hairs along her back look great. Scott said he has never actually seen ingrowns in that condition heal up so quickly on any other elephant.
As we were finishing up with Ramba, Rana showed up and made all sorts of bellowing noises at Ramba. We have the backhoe at the barn to do some prep for Lady (more about that another day), and apparently, it was very exciting. After saying their hellos again, both girls went on their way, heading back out from the direction they came.
A bit later, Rana and Ramba popped up across the creek in four, at the little spot you can see from the house up the hill. It’s a cooler day, high 70s maybe, but cloudy, so the girls are enjoying getting a lot of grazing in. Shortly after R&R showed up across the creek, Maia showed up at the barn. Just in case we need a reminder when dinner time is.
