While the elephants have ponds and other water sources, they seem to have some extra love for the mud wallows lately. There are several spread throughout the habitat, so the girls can stop for a splash and a good coating if they’re feeling particularly hot or dry.
Bambi has made herself at home in the smallest of all the mud wallows. She’s been coming for mud baths almost every morning after breakfast by herself. The others usually join her later, but she seems to be relishing her new morning routine, splashing and squishing in the mud and water.
