Bambi took her first steps into sanctuary today. ❤️ Steps she has waited a lifetime to take.
You can watch those steps on the video at about the 8-minute mark.
Maia is fairly close. Rana, Lady, and Mara are in the back of Yard 4 but undoubtedly aware of Bambi’s arrival.
We will continue to bring you videos when possible, so stay tuned!

September 26, 2020 at 2:56 pmSuper wonderful to see you in your new free Forever home lovely Miss BAMBI.
A little step for a beautiful gentle giant but a huge step for human kindness to make a tiny bit of amends for all your torture and suffering.
Be free BAMBI. ??❤️?

September 26, 2020 at 3:12 pmA most magical moment. It was incredible how Bambi came out of her crate…she was on a mission to explore. It was as if she knew this was stepping into a new world. I had thought that it might take some hours for her to feel confident enough but she proved me wrong! I so enjoyed the live filming and thank you so much for sharing Bambi’s journey with us all.
Well done everyone for bringing Bambi home. What an achievement!

September 26, 2020 at 5:50 pmDitto to everything Rosie said! I had family and other guests over for the last week and haven’t been able to catch up on these last few videos until now. WOW. I knew by the titles that Bambi was on her way to her new home and couldn’t wait to take the time watching and reading everything. Soooo wonderful to see her first steps and enjoy what I can only imagine must be engaging all her senses. What a lovely ele and a lovely way to spend these last couple of hours. Bravo GSE!!! ????

September 26, 2020 at 3:45 pmThey ALWAYS love to get dusting. I think it also helps them to smell like the surroundings,, jmho, and blend into the environment. Of course, the most shy is the FIRST ONE OUT. HA WELL DONE TEAM!!

September 26, 2020 at 3:53 pmShe does not seem to mind at all being OUT side, that is, not having somewhere to hide. I think much of that will simply go away, she has more going on than I thought. LOTS more guts and determination.

September 26, 2020 at 3:56 pmIt is amazing how Bambi moves around sooo at ease as if she ‘s been here all her life!
With all the food and treats you spread around everywhere, she must realise by now she is in the land of Plenty!
I’m looking forward for her to meet Maia, Rana, Mara and Lady. ?❤️
