When preparing for breakfast, Scott heard some vocalizations coming from the habitat. As he showed up to give the elephants their morning food, he saw Bambi at the fence ready to eat. Rana and Mara were walking toward her and Scott thought Bambi might make some noise as her friends approached – which she did.
It was a simple, easygoing morning with a lot of Bambi rumbles. The weather was still cool, as the sun hadn’t taken over yet, so there were lots of happy elephants.

September 9, 2022 at 9:06 pmBambilina you have my heart. I never get tired of listening or watching you explore and become the elephant you were meant to be. I will never forget how you looked at the zoo. Timid, fearful to come out of the shed, and skin in poor condition. You look incredible now, happy and contented. #sanctuaryheals.
