Attention Shoppers: It’s a Wishlist!

As you may know, it can be difficult to get some of the supplies that we need at sanctuary because of the remote location of Elephant Sanctuary Brazil and the shipping challenges, including 80% import taxes, that come with that. We can get some essential items locally, but there are specialty items that are difficult, if not impossible to find here. This includes medical supplies that the elephants need, but that we cannot source in high quality.

We must be vigilant in choosing the items we use for elephant care, because the integrity of the products used is one of the most important factors in their medical treatments. Everything must be safe for the girls to touch, or even eat if they get extra curious.

Of course, there are also other animals here at ESB that require medical care as well. Recently, our dog Minnie had a leg amputation due to cancer, and another sanctuary dog Bugsy is having neurological issues due to an autoimmune disease. Those things require specific products in order to facilitate their healing. Even the chickens and goats need their own medicines.

We will be having a visitor from the US come and we have four empty suitcases to fill with supplies. Since you were so generous last time, we thought it would be fun to encourage those of you who love shopping to contribute directly to the animals’ welfare. Our wishlists include specialty items for Lady’s foot care, supplements for all of the elephants, general welfare items, and a few special items for the caregivers (which we requested last time). All of them are incredibly valuable and make a big difference in the lives of all of the beings in our care.

You can choose from dozens of products on our Chewy or Amazon wishlists, which both have elephant items. All purchases would need to be delivered by July 28th, so time is of the essence. This has been such a fun project in the past, so we hope there’s as much excitement this time around. Thanks to all of you who make a difference in these animals’ lives each and every day.

Love being able to contribute this way, it feels like you’re buying the girls a gift especially from you. A little way of contributing to their well being. And of course everyone animal and caregivers deserve special gifts also.

I tried to order the Leovet Cellsious gel on Amazon & it said, “this item cannot be shipped to a gift registry address or wish list.”

There are also many items on the Chewy list that we are in need of. If you prefer Amazon, please send me an email at sara@globalelephants.org and I’ll try to help.

It shows every donation goal has been met! Is this the case for this current request?

It looks like there are a few Amazon items left, but that’s about it. But gift cards are always welcome if anyone still wants to shop!
