After Breakfast With the Girls

The elephants seem to be settling into a nice rhythm when it comes to mealtime – even if Guille is still working out some of the more subtle details. Each day, thereโ€™s a different configuration of girls spending time with one another, but the atmosphere is generally relaxed and comfortable. After breakfast, Bambi came near to see what was going on, while Rana, Guille, and Mara cleaned up the last few bits of hay. (Guillermina was searching for some extra bites wherever she could find them.) Throughout the morning, there was a calmness and some gentle interactions among the girls, as they eventually wandered off to find some shade and to graze in the habitat.

Sounds like a healthy breakfast routine. All appetites are equal, though some appetites are more equal than others. Still a bit of work ahead, Guille.

I would take breakfast with the girls over breakfast with Santa any day of the week! Thanks for the posting, it’s always nice to hear what’s happening at sanctuary.
