Today starts our Halloween fundraiser, the Pachyderm Pumpkin Party. As you know, many of our elephants love pumpkins, which are part of their supplementary snacks. So it seems only fitting that we’d focus on pumpkin-related activities during the spooky season. 

Our challenge to you is this: make a donation of any amount and receive some exclusive Elephant Sanctuary Brazil pumpkin carving stencils. If you opt to carve your elephant pumpkin utilizing one of the stencils, snap a photo and we’ll enter it in a “best of” contest on Facebook. You can message your photo to GSE using this link. Don’t worry – you don’t have to be a Facebook member to enter. You can simply email a photograph of your pumpkin to janna@globalelephants.org by 5:00pm central time on October 30th. 

On the 30th, the GSE staff will choose their favorite pumpkins, which will be entered into a contest. The staff selections will be posted on our Facebook page and the entry with the most votes (“likes”) will win a 2024 GSE wall calendar and a $20 gift certificate to our soon-to-open new online store.
