It’s cold in Chile, but Ramba was given some of her breakfast inside of her crate just to give her a chance to check it out a bit. Unfortunately the cold weather doesn’t make it ideal to have her spending time at the container, but it is supposed to warm up later this afternoon.
The acclimation process will be slow and ongoing, not pressuring her to get in, just making sure she knows it’s ok and safe and letting her go about things at her own pace.

October 12, 2019 at 10:53 amWould you consider her a dainty eater? Seems like she is very deliberate in selecting what she wants. She is just adorable. I’m in Love again.

October 12, 2019 at 12:15 pmShe is somewhat of a dainty eater, but she also has an overgrown upper molar, most likely from lack of browse. So her general dainty manner is compounded by her slow and deliberate chewing.

October 12, 2019 at 11:33 amIf Ramba only knew how close she is to a wonderful life. Close to elephant friends and the freedom to roam freely. I am excited for her.
