This video is a little long, but there were a lot of cute moments in the ten minute clip it was pulled from of these two cuties in the pond.
Laura and Heivy went out to record behavioral video and they found Maia and Guida in the pond. Maia wasn’t the only one who got silly and splashy. It’s nice to see the girls getting along so well in the pond. Maia’s play is a bit on the active side for older Asian elephants. With Maia being bigger, it could easily be seen as intimidating, but Guida doesn’t mind at all. It only seems to encourage her to play a bit as well. The epitome of putting their past behind them and living in the now.
